Reddit Opens Dynamic Product Ads to All Advertisers, Enhances Tools

Reddit is scaling up its ad offerings by making Dynamic Product Ads (DPAs) available to all advertisers, following a successful trial with select partners. The move expands Reddit’s performance marketing toolkit and signals its growing ambition to compete more directly in e-commerce and targeted advertising.

DPAs automatically pull product details – such as images and prices – from a brand’s catalog and display them alongside relevant conversations on the platform. These placements are generated in real time, enabling both prospecting and retargeting based on user behavior both on and off Reddit. Formats include single-image and carousel units.

Reddit reports significant results from the beta phase. In Q1 2025, advertisers running both DPAs and standard conversion campaigns saw double the return on ad spend when using DPAs. Additionally, the number of hosted product catalogs on Reddit has quadrupled year-over-year, pointing to growing interest from retailers and brands.

Beyond contextual relevance, Reddit emphasizes that its DPAs are designed to surface personalized product recommendations by analyzing user engagement patterns—such as subreddit participation—as well as past product interactions. Reddit claims that advertisers saw, on average, a 94% increase in return on ad spend compared to similar campaigns the previous year.

In parallel, Reddit has introduced a new integration with ad platform Smartly, allowing marketers to manage Reddit campaigns alongside other digital channels. The partnership supports end-to-end campaign creation and measurement within a single platform. As Reddit continues to attract users seeking peer advice and reviews, the link between community discussion and purchase intent could prove to be a valuable asset for advertisers exploring new performance-driven environments.
