Grindr Launches In-App Hub for Original, Uncensored Content

Grindr has introduced a new in-app destination for its original programming, allowing users to access full, unfiltered versions of the platform’s shows without leaving the app. The feature, called “Grindr Presents,” went live on August 7 and centralizes the company’s video and music offerings directly within the Grindr interface.

Previously, much of Grindr’s entertainment content – including series like Who’s the Asshole? with Katya, Daddy Lessons, and Host or Travel – was available in edited formats on YouTube or Instagram. With the launch of Grindr Presents, viewers can now see the material as the creators intended, with no cuts for external platform restrictions. According to Grindr, these versions are “longer, sharper, and exactly how they were meant to be seen… and heard.”

The hub also includes a music section, featuring playlists such as the “New Music Frigay” collection on Spotify, integrated for easier discovery. Accessing the content requires only opening the app, tapping the side tray, and navigating to the Grindr Presents section.

Grindr has framed the move as part of a broader cultural strategy, describing the goal as “making Grindr not just where the gays are, but where the culture is.” By hosting programming natively, the company gains greater control over distribution and user engagement while potentially increasing in-app time.

Whether Grindr Presents will significantly reshape user behavior remains to be seen, but the feature underscores the company’s ambition to expand beyond its core dating functionality. By making this content more accessible without needing users to turn to third-party apps or platforms, it has a chance of becoming even more of a community hub for its target audiences.
