Snapchat Introduces Affiliate Program to Boost Ad Sales

Snapchat is introducing a new initiative aimed at growing its advertising base while offering creators and marketers a chance to earn income through referrals. The company this week launched the Snapchat Affiliate Program, a move designed to incentivize users to bring new advertisers to the platform in exchange for commission-based rewards.

Through the program, participants can earn a commission each time a brand they refer activates a Snapchat ad campaign. To qualify, the referred advertiser must sign up via a unique referral link and launch a campaign within 90 days. The program will be managed through PartnerStack, which will handle tracking and payout logistics.

“As a Snapchat affiliate, you’ll earn a competitive commission for each new advertiser you sign up on Snapchat ads,” the company said in its announcement. “You’ll start earning when you refer qualified advertisers to Snapchat ads, and along the way we’ll provide resources for your success, like approved assets, marketing guides and more.”

This move aligns with Snapchat’s broader strategy to grow its ad revenue, particularly among small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), a segment the platform has increasingly prioritized. With growth in key user markets like the U.S. and Europe plateauing, Snapchat is looking for new ways to monetize its existing audience more effectively.

The affiliate program not only seeks to expand Snap’s advertiser base but also encourages creators and marketers to share their expertise and promote Snap’s advertising potential. This community-driven model could help strengthen Snap’s position in a competitive digital ads market, particularly as it tries to extract more value from its core user base.
