Pinterest Reveals Fall Shopping Trends Report, Launches Dedicated Hub

Pinterest’s newly released 2025 Fall Trends Report underscores a notable shift toward thrifting and sustainable shopping, especially among Gen Z users. Search volumes for terms like “dream thrift finds” soared by 550%, while “thrifted kitchen” spiked a staggering 1,012%, and “thrifted decor” rose 283%. These numbers reflect a growing appetite for one-of-a-kind pieces that are both meaningful and eco-conscious.

Beyond home décor, the appetite for vintage and statement aesthetics extends into interiors and personal spaces. Searches for “new art deco” have climbed 497%, while concepts like “cubicle makeover ideas” and “cute desk decor” increased by 2,767% and 804%, respectively – revealing Gen Z’s desire to infuse every environment with personality and stylistic expression.

Pinterest also reports a notable demographic evolution: Gen Z now represents over half of its user base, and male users are participating more in trend discovery than ever before. In fact, searches for “second-hand outfits for men” have risen by 31%, indicating a broader expansion of thrift culture across gender lines.

To capitalize on this momentum, Pinterest has launched a “Thrift Shop” activation – a curated hub that enables users to discover and shop vintage and secondhand items directly on the platform. Available from August 20 to September 26, it features collaborations with vintage retailers and weekly closet drops from tastemakers worldwide.
