LinkedIn is expanding access to one of its fastest-growing content formats, allowing all individual users to create newsletters regardless of their follower count. Previously, the feature was limited to members with over 150 followers or those using Creator Mode, which was retired last year. Company pages will still need at least 150 followers to publish newsletters.
The move comes amid rising engagement with newsletters on the platform. LinkedIn reported a 59% increase in the number of people publishing newsletter articles last year and a 47% jump in newsletter interactions. More than 184,000 newsletters are now active on LinkedIn, making the format a key channel for professionals looking to share insights and build audiences.
Alongside this change, LinkedIn is trialing a new “Premium Business Suite” aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. The package will include existing Premium tools, such as inviting page visitors to follow and highlighting products or services, but will also introduce new engagement and advertising features.
One notable addition is a monthly allocation of $50 in ad credits to boost posts, designed to increase visibility without requiring separate campaign budgets. LinkedIn already offers occasional ad credits in some Premium tiers, but this would be a recurring benefit. The suite will also feature a “join top prospect conversations” tool, surfacing relevant discussions from target audiences to help businesses connect directly with potential clients.
LinkedIn says the Premium Business Suite is intended to give SMBs more accessible tools to grow their presence and reach decision-makers on the platform. The feature is still in early testing, with a broader rollout expected once development is complete.
