Threads Expands Insights Tools to Help Creators Track Growth

Threads has introduced a suite of expanded analytics aimed at giving creators better visibility into how their content performs and where it’s being discovered.

The update, announced July 22, adds new detail to the platform’s existing “Insights” dashboard. In the “Interactions” section, users can now see a breakdown of engagement types – likes, replies, quotes, and reposts – while the “Followers” section includes expanded demographic data such as age, gender, and geographic breakdowns by city and country.

A key addition is a performance trend chart that allows users to view engagement patterns over time, spanning from seven to 90 days. This long-term view aims to help creators identify which content drives consistent interest.

Significantly, Threads is also showing where content is surfacing across the Meta ecosystem. Since eligible Threads posts can be recommended on both Instagram and Facebook, the dashboard now includes a breakdown of view origins across those apps. This allows creators to understand which Meta platforms are helping expand their reach.

The update comes at a moment of rapid growth for Threads. According to Similarweb, the app recorded 115.1 million daily active users on iOS and Android in June 2025—a 127.8% increase year-over-year. By contrast, X (formerly Twitter) reached 132 million daily users but saw usage decline by over 15% in the same period.

As Threads aims to further establish itself in the creator economy, these enhanced metrics are designed to offer more actionable data and help users build a stronger, cross-platform presence.
